The Karlsruhe Palace is home to the largest cultural-historical museum in Baden and offers a breathtaking view of the fan-shaped city from its palace tower. The museum’s collection explores all the epochs of mankind, from prehistory all the way up to the present. Special emphasis is placed on one of the best antique collections in all of Germany, comprising items from the Cyclades culture, the early advanced civilisations, and classical Greece. Memorable highlights include the cabinet of art and curiosities and the “Turkish spoils”, an extensive collection of treasures from the Ottoman Wars.
