Products stirring emotions

Smiling chairs and floating lamps are among the objects waiting to be discovered. Over 200 items on display present a new perspective on a variety of products and designs available to the modern consumer.  Detached from traditional classifications of function, style, materials used or the designer, this exhibition focuses on the visceral appeal of products and defines the popular concept of emotional design.

While earlier the product function and a suitable design were the relevant criteria for purchasing an item, consumers today are far more particular when choosing their products. As far back as the eighties, the design movement has focused on being visceral and emotional, and products on the market today should offer something that will touch a consumer to the core – viewing the item or perceiving it with the senses should have an emotional effect.

Come on a voyage of discovery through experiences which will intrigue, astonish, delight and amuse you. Other sections of the exhibition include self-portrayal and the sense of self, well-being, uneasiness, disappointment and aggravation. An emotional roller coaster ride awaits you as you observe your own response to the items while experiencing them and trying them out.
