Public tours and events

Regular public tours and topical presentations invite you to discover our collections. Registration is not required! Come by, cover the highlights, or focus on specialised topics. See our calendar for dates and times.

Happy Friday
We offer a free themed tour through our permanent exhibitions each Friday at 4:00 PM. Moderated discussions with contemporaries are also held regularly as part of this programming, alongside tours with dialect poet Thomas Heitlinger.
See our calendar for current dates.

Discussion forum
The morning or afternoon discussion forum illuminates aspects of everyday culture through dialogue, inviting participants to make comparisons with their own life experience. Guests can sit during the entire museum presentation. Accessible pathways guarantee that older visitors and disabled individuals can easily and comfortably take part in the event.
See our calendar for current dates.

Behind the scenes
Our Behind the scenes series lets you see things from an unusual vantage point. The one-hour museum presentation focuses on selected objects, which are examined in depth. Scientists and theologians describe the origins, creation and importance of the exhibit through dialogue, engaging in active discussions with visitors.
