The Badisches Landesmuseum
The Badisches Landesmuseum (Baden State Museum) is the largest cultural and historical museum for the Baden region, and presents Baden's culture in an interdisciplinary manner through dialogue with cultural witnesses from all over the world, with a focus on Europe.
It contains objects representing 50,000 years of international cultural history: World culture, state history and everyday regional culture are brought together and linked to create an overarching exhibition of history and culture.
In addition to its main headquarters at Karlsruhe Palace, eight other museums and archives are part of the Baden State Museum, from Bruchsal to Salem.
Since 29 September 2025, Karlsruhe Palace has been closed for extensive renovation work. Visit us at the Museum at the Market Square, at our other locations or online!
