Museum in the castle

The Badisches Landesmuseum is located in Karlsruhe Castle. With its tower, the former residence of the margraves and grand dukes of Baden forms the center of the "fan city" and is visible from far away.

Arrival by train
Take the subway / streetcar to the stop Marktplatz (U) or Kronenplatz (U). From there it is only a few minutes walk. The electronic timetable information of the KVV provides information about connections and departure times.

Arrival by car
You can reach Karlsruhe via the A5 in the direction of Frankfurt/Basel or the A8 in the direction of Stuttgart/Mannheim Frankfurt. After the Zentrum exit, white signs will lead you to the Badisches Landesmuseum. You can park your car in the Schlossplatz underground car park (open 24 hours)

    You can reach Karlsruhe via the A5 in the direction of Frankfurt/Basel or the A8 in the direction of Stuttgart/Mannheim Frankfurt. After the Zentrum exit, a white sign for the castle will lead you to the Badisches Landesmuseum. Pass the castle park via Willy-Brandt-Allee, exit at Ahaweg. The passage in Ahaweg and parking is free for visitors of the Majolika Manufaktur.

    From Karlsruhe main station take the S-Bahn 31 or 32 in the direction of Bruchsal to the stop Bruchsal Schlossgarten. From there it is only a few minutes walk. Information about departure times can be found in the electronic timetable information of the KVV.

    From Karlsruhe take the Bundesstraße 3 in the direction of "Zentrum" and "Schloss". There are three parking spaces in Schönbornstraße and on the roadside in front of the castle.

    From the A 8 motorway, take the Pforzheim exit in the direction of Pforzheim and then take the B 294. Turn off at Neuenbürg and in the town center follow the signs to the castle. There are a few parking spaces in front of the castle.

    At hourly intervals, the adventure bus connects Salem Monastery and Castle with Salem train station (Mimmenhausen district) and Unteruhldingen harbor during the peak season, from March 24 to October 28, 2018, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

    Around the castle there is free parking for cars and five non-public free parking for coaches available.
