Museum Etiquette
Welcome to our Museums!
To ensure that your visit with us is as pleasant and safe as possible, we kindly ask you to observe the following rules:
Cloakroom
— For safety reasons, large bags, rucksacks, umbrellas, coats and jackets are not allowed in the exhibitions – please use our cloakrooms and lockers.
Museum
— Smoking is prohibited in the museums, and food and drinks may not be taken into the exhibitions. Exhibits, models and other display items may only be touched if this is expressly permitted. Parents are responsible for their children, and teachers have a duty of supervision for their pupils. Animals are not permitted. Assistance dogs are of course welcome.
Supervisory staff
— Supervisory staff ensure that the house rules are observed. Their instructions must be followed. Failure to do so may result in the persons concerned being prohibited from remaining in the building.
Photography
— You are welcome to take photographs for private use, but please refrain from using flash, tripods and selfie sticks. Exceptions are areas marked accordingly and special exhibitions where photography is expressly prohibited.
Interaction
— We ask that everyone in our buildings treat each other and the objects on display with respect.
We wish you a pleasant visit!
