Permanent exhibitions

From prehistoric beginnings to the present: The collections of the Badisches Landesmuseum represent over 50,000 years of international cultural history.

Prehistory and early history, ancient cultures, the history of the Romans at the Upper Rhine region, the high and late Middle Ages, the Reformation, the wars of succession, castle and court, as well as Baden's history as a part of Europe come to live at Karlsruhe Palace.


Current note

Because of reconstruction work within the framework of the special exhibition Emperor and Sultan – Neighbours in the heart of Europe, the “Throne Room”, the “Türkenbeute”, the "Kunst- und Wunderkammer" (Chamber of art and curiosities), the "Großherzogliche Waffenkammer" (Grand ducal arms chamber), and the exhibition “Absolutism and enlightenment” will remain closed until further notice.
